Reflecting on this week

Hello Yoga 170! I wanted to share a reflection with you in this week’s email. A bit of appreciation on several notes.

If there is one thing that we’ve learned recently, it is to live, enjoy our moments, and cherish time. Our family just returned from Cape Cod, our annual tradition. We are sandy, sun kissed, and happy. On our trip, we spent time with my Grammie — my beautiful 94 year old Grammie. She still travels, is a talented painter, never forgets a birthday, and guess what? Practices Tai Chi AND yoga! We cherish our time with her and are always reminded of how special family moments are.

Second, I would like to acknowledge and honor Rochester Police Officer Anthony Mazurkiewicz and his family for his bravery and dedication as a police officer for 29 years. As an officer, husband, father, grandfather, and as part of our Fairport community, the news this past week was just heartbreaking. As we notice flags at half staff and blue ribbons, our community is joined together as we honor Officer Mazurkiewicz and keep his family in our hearts. 💙

I realize that sometimes we have good days and sometimes we have bad days. But (at least for me this week) I am reminded to live, enjoy our moments, and cherish time.

We look forward to practicing with you this week and enjoying time together at the studio. You can find the class schedule here. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if there is anything you need!

With gratitude,
Ali and the Yoga 170 team
